Nat, a recently deceased Thai housewife, returns as a ghost in the form of a vacuum cleaner out of concern for her dust-allergic husband, determined to clean the house and protect her family from another vengeful spirit roaming within – yet to become a truly helpful ghost, she must first rid the home of the useless ones.

Ratchapoom Boonbunchachoke is a Bangkok-based filmmaker of Chinese–Thai descent. He works as a screenwriter at a studio, where he writes feature films and television series, and is also active as a film critic and lecturer. In 2020, he was selected for the Berlinale Talents program. A Useful Ghost is his debut feature film.
