Cine-Collegium Budapest Roundtable: Personal and Professional Decisions in the Current Film Funding System
The Budapest International Film Festival considers it important to spark a conversation about the polarization that characterizes society at large and has increasingly permeated the Hungarian film industry – along with its effects. Political, funding, institutional, and other factors have created fault lines and deep divides within the Hungarian film community, while global crises and the pressures of making a living weigh on all of us. How can we navigate this landscape? What is the responsibility of the individual? Where do we draw our own boundaries, and on what criteria do we make professional decisions in the first place? For the CCB roundtable discussion, we have invited Hungarian filmmakers to think through these questions together.
Location: Inga Kultúrkávézó (1094, Budapest, Tűzoltó utca 2.)
The discussion will be held in Hungarian. The event is free to attend.
