Film Description

Man-su, a paper industry expert with 25 years of experience, lives happily with his wife, Mi-ri, their two children, and two dogs under idyllic circumstances. One day, however, he is fired from his job, and everything seems to fall apart. As a result of these events, Man-su vows to find a new job as soon as possible. When a paper factory advertises a job opening, Man-su devises a cunning plan to ensure he gets the job, plotting to eliminate his competitors one by one. Korean director Park Chan-wook reimagined Costa-Gavras's 2005 film The Axe, and the result is a striking display of his distinctive directorial style: No Other Choice is a thriller full of twists and is laced with black humor, which makes the viewer ponder serious moral questions.
