A discounted ticket for HUF 3,200 (incl. VAT), valid for all screenings except the Gala section. 1,000 Early Bird tickets are available in total, while stocks last but no later than 13 October, 10:00.

Student tickets are HUF 1,000 cheaper than full-price tickets. 3,000 student tickets are available for the whole festival, with a limited number per screening. You need a valid Hungarian or international student ID with a photo, or an ISIC card.

Student tickets are supported by Raiffeisen and Visa.

You may be asked to show your student ID at the entrance. If you can’t prove your eligibility, you will need to pay the difference on site.

Yes. Between 13 October, 10:00 and 20 October, midnight, you get 20% off if the total value of the tickets in your basket reaches HUF 19,800. The discount applies to all screenings available in the webshop and cannot be combined with other discounts.

The festival pass costs HUF 65,000 (incl. VAT), and only 20 will be available from 6 October, 10:00. It can only be bought online, while stocks last but no later than 20 October, midnight. You need a registered account to buy a pass, and you can buy a maximum of 2 per account.

The pass is a personal photo badge valid for all BIFF screenings. It comes with a copy of the limited-edition BIFF catalogue, the first standalone art publication in the festival’s history, and a BIFF tote bag.

At the BIFF desk in the Corvin Cinema, by showing your purchase confirmation email. Please note: the pass alone does not get you into a screening; you first need to collect your ticket for that screening.

No. The pass can only be used by the person named on it.

1. Collect your badge at the BIFF desk in the Corvin Cinema from 24 October, 18:00.

2. At least 30 minutes before each screening, register at the BIFF desk with your badge to receive your admission ticket – this guarantees you a seat. You can also request tickets for your other screenings that day at the same time.

3. If you arrive later, you can only get in if there are seats left.

The pass is also valid for the opening and closing galas, but these require separate registration; pass holders will receive the details by email.

You can buy up to 20 tickets for the same screening in one order.

No. A ticket is only yours once your payment has gone through; until then, availability may change.

After a successful card payment. If the payment fails, the tickets have not been purchased.

By email after successful payment, usually within a few minutes and no later than 30 minutes. You can show your QR-code ticket at the venue on your phone or printed out.

Yes, an electronic invoice is sent by email using the billing details you provide.

Yes, tickets are transferable. However, each QR code can only be used once: admission goes to whoever presents it first. The festival pass is an exception and can only be used by its owner.

BIFF tickets are not for specific seats: audience members take the available seats on a first-come, first-served basis.

The two screenings of the same film may differ in some cases: Moulin on 29 October at 19:30 is screened from a 35 mm print in French and German with Hungarian subtitles, while on 31 October at 17:30 it is screened digitally in French and German with Hungarian and English subtitles.

Late admission is at the discretion of the venue staff. We cannot guarantee admission or a seat in this case.

The house rules of the respective venue apply; please follow the instructions of the venue staff. Corvin Cinema house rules:

No, tickets cannot be voluntarily returned or exchanged. The 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to cinema tickets for a specific date and time.

• If a screening is cancelled, we refund the full ticket price.

• If the venue of a screening changes, you can request a refund for unused tickets.

• If the start time changes by more than 20 minutes, you can request a refund.

• If only the guest appearance or the Q&A is cancelled but the screening goes ahead, this alone does not entitle you to a refund.

The main venue for screenings is the Corvin Cinema. BIFF HUB will be at Inga Kultúrkávézó (1094 Budapest, Tűzoltó utca 2.). Cinescape screenings, parties and side events will take place at other venues.
