How does the Festival Pass work this year?

Price: 45,000 HUF
AVAILABLE HERE

For our most dedicated BIFF fans, the Festival Pass is back — only 30 passes are available. The personal, non-transferable pass grants access to all screenings except the opening and closing galas. You just need to follow four simple rules:

1. Buy your pass early.
Passes can only be purchased online during the Early Bird period and are available in limited quantity (30 total), so it’s best to get yours as soon as possible. After payment, you’ll receive a confirmation email — keep this safe!

2. Exchange your confirmation for a wristband.
You can collect your wristband from the BIFF Desk at Corvin Cinema starting on the festival’s first day, or at least 30 minutes before the first screening you plan to attend. Show your confirmation email to receive your wristband.

3. Want a guaranteed seat?
To ensure entry to a screening, please register at the BIFF Desk at Corvin at least 30 minutes before the screening starts. As a passholder, we guarantee you’ll get a seat for even the most popular films — but only if you collect your ticket in person in time. You can also pick up tickets for other same-day screenings then. Please only take tickets for films you truly plan to attend, so others don’t miss out on the experience.

4. Running late and can’t register in time?
If seats remain available, we’ll still let you in.

Why can’t I choose my seat when buying a ticket?

At BIFF, tickets are general admission — seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

Yes, tickets (except for passes) are transferable. However, only the first person to present a valid QR code will be admitted to the screening.

Venue

Where will BIFF take place?

BIFF’s home is Corvin Cinema, where screenings will be held in the 460-seat Korda Hall, the 295-seat Kabos Hall, and the 200-seat Jávor Hall.

But BIFF events will take place beyond Corvin as well:

- The Inga Café & Cultural Space (1094 Budapest, Tűzoltó utca 2.), just a few minutes’ walk from Corvin, will host the BIFF HUB professional talks (see full schedule under Program / HUB Talks).

- There will also be off-site screenings in unique locations across Budapest (see Program / Cinescape for details).

- Plus, parties and various side events will take place throughout the city (see Events for more information).

Press Accreditation

Will there be press registration?

Yes, BIFF offers press accreditation for up to 10 members of the press per screening.

I just started a blog — can I register too?

We’re happy about every form of BIFF coverage! However, since press seats are limited, all applications are evaluated individually, primarily based on previous publications.

What is the registration deadline?

Press accreditation requests can be submitted until October 22 via the link above. Successful applicants will receive confirmation by October 25 at the latest.
