Retrospective:
Homeward Bound

This year’s retrospective at BIFF explores the many meanings of home and the conflicting longing for return.

A szekció támogatója a Filmvilág.

This programme delves into the profound emotions tied to "home"— a place of comfort yet often shadowed by fear and alienation. Through stories of migration, memory, and longing, the films explore the duality of home as both a sanctuary and a source of unease. They speak to the loneliness of those who leave and the complex realities of returning, asking: Can we ever truly go home again, or is 'home' an ever-changing concept within ourselves?
